Winter hiking

snowy cottage

Hiking is great pleasure!

Away from the piste there is a peaceful side to the Tirol landscape. Hiking in Kitzbühel, Reith, Aurach and Jochberg is an extraordinary activity, even in winter. Discover the charm of a magnificent winter on numerous well cared for trails and paths.

Kitzbühel Tourist Board offers you free guided hikes and snow-shoe hikes with our hiking guides. Hike through the Kitzbühel Alps in the company of an experienced hiking guide and learn a great deal about the country and the people. You can make a note of your own thoughts in your own tour book and when you’ve done 3 hikes then you’ve earned your first ‘Ehrenwandernadel’ hiking badge!

Meeting point, from Monday to Friday at 9:45 a.m. at Kitzbühel Tourist Board office (contribution to costs for use of taxi/bus or lift facilities when necessary; charge for poles and snow shoes - € 10.00.)

Tip
The altitude hike to Austria's largest storage lake
One of our guided snow shoe hikes takes you to the largest storage lake in Austria. You really can’t miss out on that!

Ascent with the new Panoramabahn of the Kitzbühel Alps to Resterhöhe, with a hike to the storage lake, then continuing to the Panoramaalm and after a little refreshment, then it’s back to the starting point.
Register at the offices of Kitzbühel Tourist Board. Minimum number of participants is 4 people.
Only with the Kitzbühel Tourist Board Visitor card!
